The death defying tree swing is part of a small adventure park called Casa de Arbol. The swing (one of three) dangles you over a steep slope as you soar through the air. People have sworn that an actual experience on the Swing at the End of the World is not as dangerous as it looks.

The Swing at the End of the World located at La Casa Del Arbol (The Treehouse) in Baños, Ecuador is 2,600 meters above sea level. It offers visitors a beautiful and terrifying view of the Tungurahua Volcano.

The swing is hanging on a tree. The wooden seat is held up with two pieces of rope. The simple invention hangs from an old treehouse 2,660 metres over a deep cliff and is not for the faint hearted.

As at the time of writing this, there are no online reports about deaths on the Swing at the End of the World. There is a seat strap to keep you seated.

How Swing at the End of the World got its name:

Reports say the swing got its name when its owner sat on the swing and helplessly watched as Tungurahua volcano violently erupted sending Pyroclastic flows 2000m down towards the villages of Mandur and Achupashal.

Hence the name Swing at the End of the World
