Igbere TV learnt that residents who came out in solidarity protested the raiding of Ambode’s house by the EFCC operatives and resisted their entry.
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided the residence of former governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode.
Mr Ambode’s residence in his hometown of Epe, Lagos, was raided on Tuesday morning.
The operatives also searched Ambode’s former chief of staff’s residence located in the same Epe neighbourhood, Igbere TV reports.
EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade, confirmed that operatives were in Ambode’s house as part of investigations, but said it was not a raid.
