Roller coaster accident: A 12 dead in roller coaster accident hoax is spreading on Facebook.
The fake news story reads:
FOX – (NEWS UPDATE: Footage of roller coaster accident that kills 13 people released.) It appears that the safety harness system has encountered an electrical malfunction during the middle of the ride sending the 23 passengers into a frightening situation clinging on to their lives. Released footage can be seen here – LINK
For your safety – DO NOT click the links posted with this story on Facebook that supposedly point to a leaked video of the roller coaster accident because they’re just scam bait.

Roller coaster accident: 12 dead in roller coaster accident hoax
The truth is that no such roller coaster accident with 12 dead ever occurred, so no such “shocking video footage” exists.
The hoax, which first went started circulating and went viral in March 2014 are bait for a clickjacking scam.
Internet users who click on the links are redirected to pages outside Facebook where they are tricked into divulging their log-in information (email address and password), enabling scammers to hijack their accounts.

The roller coaster appears to veer off the tracks mid air plummeting all 25 passengers into the pavement killing 17. There are 8 listed in critical condition at a local Orlando Hospital fighting for their life. Local law enforcement are at the scene investigating the accident. Technicians confirm that the roller coaster has malfunctioned during the ride causing it to veer off the tracks.
