Carol Finkle death: Lisa Finkle, who was 24, and Laura Finkle, 19, at the time of Carol Finkle death are now 55 years old and 50 years old respectively.
In the grisly 1989 Schodack Carol Finkle death, Carole was found in a pool of blood in her living room, covered with 112 blows and stab wounds. She had been stabbed and bludgeoned with a wrench by her stepdaughter, Lisa — who initially blamed a mystery man and had the Rensselaer County community on edge.
Lisa Finkle was sentenced to 25 years to life in 1991. Her sister Laura, charged with hindering prosecution, was acquitted.
Lisa Finkle got released in June 2018.
The murder was aired in an episode of “Twisted Sisters,” a true-crime show focusing on sisters and executive-produced by Khloé Kardashian on Investigation Discovery.
Set to air at 10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 , “Daddy’s Girls” will focus on Carole Finkle, who was stabbed and bludgeoned with a wrench by her stepdaughter, Lisa — who initially blamed a mystery man and had the Rensselaer County community on edge.
The two sisters originally reported that they found their stepmother dead and lying in a pool of blood Wednesday afternoon in her home in suburban Schodack, about 10 miles east of Albany.
But investigators, after talking to the women’s friends and finding the apparent murder weapons, concluded that the sisters had killed their stepmother.
Carole Finkle, a waitress at a diner in the nearby town of Colonie, was married to Peter Finkle, the defendants’ father.
Carol Finkle death appeared to have resulted from an argument between Lisa Finkle and Laura Finkle and Carole at the residence just prior to the murder.
