Mary Pratt passed away on Wednesday. She was one of the original #AAGPBL players signed in 1943. A lifelong educator and athlete, she was simply a powerhouse, leader and a lovely person. I’m honored I had to chance to know her at least a little bit.

Mary always led the singing all the AAGPBL league songs at the reunions. She’s featured in our sizzle reel starting at 2:35. I’ll put the link the comments.

And here’s a great piece in honor of her 101st birthday.

Sad to hear my senior year softball coach Mary Pratt has passed away. We caught her in the twilight of her career but she taught our team a lot. In 1992 Ms. Pratt and the professional girls baseball players were honored in the movie A League of their Own. Rest In Peace Coach.
