Mary Pratt baseball death was announced in a statement by the All American Girls Professional Baseball League Players Association that read:
We are terribly sad to report that former Rockford Peaches and Kenosha Comets pitcher, Mary Pratt passed away on May 6th. She was 101 years old.
Mary was the last known original Peaches player that played on the 1943 team. Her stories, her energy will be missed for a very long time.

Mary Pratt was one of the original All American Girls Professional Baseball League Players Association players signed in 1943.
Mary Pratt passed away on Wednesday. She was one of the original #AAGPBL players signed in 1943. A lifelong educator and athlete, she was simply a powerhouse, leader and a lovely person. I’m honored I had to chance to know her at least a little bit.

Sad to hear my senior year softball coach Mary Pratt has passed away. We caught her in the twilight of her career but she taught our team a lot. In 1992 Ms. Pratt and the professional girls baseball players were honored in the movie A League of their Own. Rest In Peace Coach.
