The Fairfield Warde Football Community is raising funds in memory of our beloved Coach Daniel Callahan who unexpectedly passed away on May 10th at the age of 31.

Coach Cal has been an important part of the Warde athletics program and community going back to the days he played for Fairfield HS (class of 2007). He coached Football and Lacrosse and helped with events for many other sports such as Wrestling. He was a true friend and mentor to many of the students and athletes who’s lives he touched.

Dan was a dedicated teacher in the special education field working at Fairfield Woods and most recently at Ludlowe High School as an educational trainer and paraprofessional servicing students with special needs. He was most recently working on getting his master’s degree.

At his families request all of the donations raised in Coach Cal’s memory will be used to fund a college scholarship for future Fairfield Warde High School athletes via the High School Scholarship Fund of Fairfield (HSSFF).   1. Dan was a great guy to talk sports and have a few laughs with. He will be truly missed, but always fondly remembered every time his family and friends get together.
